| At b.wise papers, environmental sustainability matters. Our cards are printed on 110# weight matte card stock that is manufactured to GreenSeal and FSC standards in a mill where the electricity is 100% offset by clean, renewable windpower. And with each card order, a tree is planted to offset paper usage.
Our packaging is either recycled, recyclable and/or created using eco-friendly methods. The plastic packaging is renewable [made from plants], biodegradeable, and recyclable. The printing press is GreenSeal certified, and uses the most energy efficient printing method that also produces the least amount of waste -- only 10% of the waste generated by traditional printing methods. Cards are printed using a semi-dry, paste-like ink supended in mineral oil. No caustic checmicals required. Good news, right? In our studio, everything is recycled, even the teeniest little bits of paper. By using a digital proofing system, excess paper waste is eliminated. And as magical as fax machines are, a scanner and email have worked just fine for us.
